zDOLni – Episode Six: A Benedictine, a Jesuit, and a Dominican look at the liturgy

Although it starts like a good joke, this conversation is pretty serious. The three religious share their diverse experience of liturgical life, talk about what helps and what does not help in praying the liturgy, and discuss the needs of liturgical music in Poland.

Karol Cetwiński, OSB, is a Benedictine monk and the choirmaster in Tyniec, the oldest abbey in Poland. Dominik Dubiel, SJ, is a Jesuit in formation and a graduate student at the Krakow Academy of Music, very active in various music ensembles and bands; he is also the founder of the Jesuit Music Project.

An encounter. Crisp thoughts. Inspirations. Teatime conversations (coffee would be quite fitting as well), chats about people and ideas that you as the friends of the Dominican Liturgical Center may find intriguing: Where does the “Polish Dominican music” come from?, What kind of visual art should we employ in our churches?, Who would study liturgy?, What does it feel like to be a catechumen in Poland? These and many other topics will be the subject of our new video series, “Zdolni” (a pun too hard to translate). Check our YouTube channel or Facebook page every Thursday to follow your host, Fr. Lukasz Misko, OP, and his guests.

Make sure you haven’t missed other episodes of the series!
